What is a Commissioner for Oaths?

A Commissioner for Oaths is a person qualified and authorised to administer oaths or to take affidavits. Deborah Wilkinson is a Commissioner for Oaths and is authorised to exercise such powers under Section 13 (3) and Schedule 4 of the Legal Services Act 2007.
